Pricing - a quick guide

It all sounds great, but how much does it cost to hire a content expert?

  • Websites

I believe in being approachable, professional and affordable. For a whole page on a new website, I can charge as little as $150 per page. The main factor that will affect costs is how prepared you are. If you have information at the ready and just need a content expert to style it for your audience then that will be simple and affordable. If this is a new site and you are not quite sure where to start, things might take longer and end up costing a little more. I like to be flexible, so reach out and we can negotiate a project cost, hourly rate or page rate. Whatever works best for your business.

  • Social media

I usually charge an hourly rate for work I do for clients on Instagram, Facebook and other social media channels. I can go as little as $50 an hour. I itemise precisely how I am spending my time and keep track of how my posts are performing, reporting back regularly so that you know if what I am doing is working. If you are a small business without much budget for services like mine then you could consider a one-off consult where I advise on the best approach to social media for your business. That way you know your posts are on the right track moving forward.

  • Articles

Long-form content such as articles and blogs take longer than other content and so tend to cost a bit more. For example, an article I recently wrote for a women’s health charity, I charged a rate of $200 for 1500 words, and an hourly cost of $50 for research hours. The length will be a cost factor, but also the amount of research involved. If you have a set budget we can work out a content approach that stays within that. Get in touch and we develop a plan that gives you great content, at a very reasonable price.

“In this, the golden age of streaming, Reacher is a binge-worthy addition to the on-demand television cannon. Production values are high, clever cinematography abounds, dialogue is sharp and cliffhangers reign supreme.”
